Para qué sirve
Usa presente simple para rutinas: I wake up early. Para gustos: She likes math. Para hechos generales: Water boils at 100°C.
Si la acción está ocurriendo en este momento, normalmente usarías presente continuo: I am studying. Esa diferencia evita muchas confusiones.
La -s de he, she e it
En afirmativo, cuando el sujeto es he, she o it, el verbo suele llevar -s: he plays, she works, it opens.
Preguntas y negaciones
Para preguntas y negaciones entra do o does. Con he, she, it usas does: Does she work? y She does not work.
Ojo: cuando aparece does, el verbo principal vuelve a su forma base. No digas Does she works?; di Does she work?.
Práctica guiada
Toma una frase base: study English. Ahora cambia el sujeto: I study English, she studies English, we study English. Después haz pregunta: Does she study English?
Mini ejercicio
Transforma work con distintos sujetos: I work, she works, we work. Luego haz pregunta: Does she work?.
Observa que en la pregunta no queda works, porque does ya marca la tercera persona.
